ABSTRACT
The use of NANDA-I to determine nursing diagnoses is useful in avoiding errors because there are already clear definition, carakteristics and standardized. The purpose of this study analyzed the barriers in using NANDA-I in nursing diagnoses formulation. Design of qualitative in this research with descriptive approach. The main informant was 4 nurses, 2 informant triangulation of head of room, with purphosive sampling technique. Data were collected by interview and observation each informant.
The results of research can be themes: knowledge factor, motivation for change, less information and high workload. Referring the results of the study is expected nurses are able to perform self-motivation to change so as to compensate for the development of nursing. In addition, internal hospital policy holders are expected to facilitate subordinates to improve the quality of services.
